Place: Juliégiges, France The year is 654. Admission fee: $5* Jumieges Abbey was a gift to the French ruler Clovis II and his queen Bathild in 654. They then gave the territory to Filibertos, a French nobleman who was banished soon after. Jumieges Abbey was passed from one owner to another before William the Conqueror consecrated it in 1067.
